Rochedale
Rochedale is situated 17 kilometres south-east of the City of Brisbane’s central business district and is becoming a very popular place to live in due to its proximity to public transport hubs, shopping centres and the M1 and Gateway Freeways.
Rochedale has expanded rapidly over the last 2 years. It used to be predominantly rural land with boutique producers and nurseries supplying to the local market. Developers and builders have come into the suburb and are building million dollar+ homes throughout the new developments. Some of the new communities comprise of a lifestyle entertainment centre, such as the Rochedale Estates. There are also new commercial shopping centres and dining facilities under construction.
The local schools serving the local community are Rochedale State School, Rochedale State High School, Redeemer Lutheran College, St Peter’s Primary School. Some parts of the northern area of Rochedale Estate comprise of the catchment area for Mansfield State High School.
